Dr Awais Ahmad

FRANZCP

Dr Awais Ahmad is an experienced Psychiatrist with extensive clinical experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including more than a decade of clinical practice in Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).

Dr Ahmad developed a strong interest in Psychiatry early in his medical career and has since dedicated his practice to providing evidence-based, patient-centred psychiatric care. During his training, he developed particular expertise in psychodynamic psychotherapeutic approaches and continues to integrate these principles into his clinical practice to support comprehensive mental health treatment and long-term patient wellbeing.

He provides psychiatric services for individuals experiencing psychotic illnesses, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders. Dr Ahmad is known for his compassionate, holistic, and collaborative approach to patient care, with a focus on achieving meaningful functional and psychological outcomes.

Dr Ahmad values clear communication and works closely with patients, treating practitioners, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a supportive and effective treatment pathway tailored to each individual’s needs.
